Divided Eye Films is a film/television production company based in Los Angeles, California.

Owned by Filmmaker Jeff Stimmel, Divided Eye Films is the company behind the critically acclaimed The Art Of Failure: Chuck Connelly Not For Sale. The feature-length documentary debuted on HBO, and subsequently aired in the United Kingdom (on the BBC), Germany (on ARTE), France, Canada, and other countries around the world - and was an official selection at the Los Angeles Film Festival, Madrid Documenta, and Melbourne International Film Festival. The film received the 2009 Emmy Award for Outstanding Arts & Culture Programming.

Other films by Jeff Stimmel include The McCain Family Watch for the webcaster Polititude, Somebody Else’s Dream, Wait Ernesto!, Divinity and the short narrative After the World which was an official selection to the Vermont International Film Festival. Mr. Stimmel has also been directing commercials, including spots for Infiniti USA Motor Corporation.

Before directing, Stimmel produced several independent features, including The Studio, State Of The Artist, and The Journey. He has worked as a Location Manager on such studio projects as Wonder Boys, Kingpin, Dogma, The Temptations and Diabolique.

Stimmel has also worked as a Line Producer on non-fiction programming at Discovery Communications and New York Times Television. Programs have included: Naked & Afraid, Scare Pewdiepie, Building Wild, Trauma: Life In The E.R., A Cook’s Tour with Anthony Bourdain, Maternity Ward, Excused, Extreme Evidence, Body Work: Miami, Body Work: LA, MLB: Fan Cave, Now, Who’s Boss, Resident Life, Unusual Suspects, Election 2004: The Message, Big Fix Alaska, and The New York Times: The Weekly.

Recently, he has been Executive-In-Charge of Production for HBO’s Allen v. Farrow, HBO Max’s docuseries Not So Pretty, and CBS Network’s, The Real Love Boat.

Jeff Stimmel is a graduate in Film Studies at the University of Pittsburgh; his first job was working on Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.

Divided Eye Films creates feature documentaries, Non-fiction shorts, and television programming. Our current production is Serfbliss, a feature-length documentary that has just finished Post-Production.
